Open Thunderbird: Launch the Thunderbird application on your computer.
Account Setup:
Go to the menu and select
File
>New
>Existing Mail Account...
.A new window will pop up asking for your name, email address, and password.
Enter your name, email address, and password, then click
Continue
.
Manual Configuration:
Thunderbird will attempt to automatically configure your account. If it fails, you can manually configure it.
Select
IMAP
as the type of incoming server.Enter the incoming server (e.g.,
mail.yourdomain.com
).For the outgoing server, select
SMTP
and enter the outgoing server (e.g.,mail.yourdomain.com
).Enter your username (usually your full email address).
Click
Done
to finish the setup.
Verify Settings:
Thunderbird will now attempt to connect to the server using the settings you provided.
If everything is correct, your account will be set up, and you can start using Thunderbird to send and receive emails.
